Raised as a Master Mason in April 1962. Mark Master confered on November 1963. Became a life member on 25th November 1970. Installed as Right Worshipfull Master in December 1976.

Joined Lochaber Royal Arch Chapter No.413 in February 1976 and was Secretary 1997-2001.

Joined Lochaber Criptic Council No.413 in February 1984 and was Secretary 1997-2001. Life Member of both Royal Arch and Criptic Council.

Joined Order of the Eastern Star, Inverlochy No 181 in January 1978, and Installed as Worthy Patron in December 1980. (Sadly the O.E.S Chapter in Fort William is now closed).

Joined Inverness Sovereign Chapter No55 18th deg in December 1995 and Highland Sovereign Council 30th deg in October 2001.

Has held various offices since 1976 and is currently Chaplain of the Lodge.
